Himalayan Shilajit
WHAT IS SHILAJIT?
Shilajit is a natural, mineral-rich substance formed over centuries in high mountain rocks. It has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic practices to support energy, vitality, and overall well-being.
WHERE DOES OURS COME FROM?
Our Shilajit comes from the Kashmir region of the Himalayas, where we source it from a
small producer still working with traditional methods.
What interested us wasn't only where it came from, but what happened to it afterwards.
The raw Shilajit is purified in an old-world way, using stone, natural conditions and very
little heat. There is no need to rush the process with aggressive high-temperature
treatment. We wanted Shilajit that had been handled as little as necessary before reaching
us.
We also wanted resin. Not powder, capsules or gummies. Shilajit is naturally a thick, sticky
substance, and for us it made sense to keep it that way rather than change it simply to make
it easier to package or sell.
Finding this particular source took time. We wanted to know where the material was
coming from, who was preparing it and what they were doing to it. That's why we stayed
with this small producer in Kashmir.
It comes to us in small batches and is laboratory tested. What goes into the jar is
deliberately simple: traditionally purified Himalayan Shilajit resin, kept as close as we can to
the form in which we chose it in the first place.
There are plenty of products carrying the name Himalayan Shilajit.
We wanted to know what was actually behind ours.
WHAT MAKES OURS DIFFERENT
The first thing you notice is the resin itself.
Ours is thick, dense and sticky, with a strong natural smell and character. The consistency is
noticeably different from many of the Shilajit products we have come across on the market.
It hasnt been made thin or convenient just to make it easier to handle.
We keep it simple: real resin, traditionally purified, no fillers and no unnecessary
processing. No powders, capsules or gummies.
It comes to us in small batches and is laboratory tested before we offer it through
Kokopelli.
We dont believe a long list of claims makes Shilajit better. Open the jar, look at the
consistency, smell it and handle the resin.
You can feel that this is a different kind of Shilajit.
LAB TEST CERTIFICATE
Fulvic acid — 71% (report range: 60–80%)
Fulvic acid is one of the key natural components of shilajit. 71% falls well within the stated
range. Fulvic acid can bind with minerals and may help carry them in forms the body can
absorb and use.
Shilajit naturally contains many trace minerals that work alongside fulvic substances. Think
of the minerals as the building materials, while fulvic acid helps carry and make those
materials available to the body.
Lead — 0.58 mg/kg (limit: max 10 mg/kg)
Lead is a toxic heavy metal, so lower is better. The measured amount is about 17 times
below the limit printed on this report.
Cadmium — 0.049 mg/kg (limit: max 1 mg/kg)
Cadmium is another toxic heavy metal. This result is about 20 times below the stated limit,
which is favorable for this tested parameter.
Arsenic — 0.040 mg/kg (limit: max 3 mg/kg)
Arsenic can be harmful at sufficient exposure. This measurement is 75 times below the
report's stated maximum.
Mercury — BDL (DL 0.001 mg/kg) (limit: max 1 mg/kg)
BDL means “Below Detection Limit.” The laboratory couldn't detect mercury above 0.001
mg/kg.
HOW TO USE IT
Dosage
Start with a pea-sized amount, around 0.3 g per day.
Stay with the smaller amount at first and gradually increase it over the following days until you find the amount that suits you.
For active men, our recommended daily range is 0.7–1 g.
Do not exceed 1 g per day.
How to Take It
We recommend taking Shilajit in the morning, before food.
Take your Shilajit using the other end of a teaspoon and place it into a glass of warm or lukewarm water — never hot.
Slowly spin the spoon through the water. The resin will gradually come away from the
spoon and dissolve. Keep stirring until it has completely dissolved, then drink.
You can add a little honey if you prefer the taste.
An Easy Morning Trick
Our resin is naturally thick, so it can take a little time to dissolve.
Put your Shilajit on the end of the teaspoon, place it into lukewarm water and leave it
overnight.
By morning it will already be mostly dissolved. Give the spoon a few spins, make sure
everything has dissolved, and drink.
THE STORY / TRADITION
Shilajit has been known in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries. Old Sanskrit texts, including the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, describe a dark substance found around mountain rock. In the warmer months, this material can appear through cracks in the rock as a dark, sticky substance. This is where the connection between Shilajit and the mountains comes from. In Sanskrit it was known as Shilajatu, a name connected with rock and the substance that comes from it. Another old description is often translated as “conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness.” Ayurveda placed Shilajit among substances known as Rasayana. In simple terms, Rasayana was concerned with maintaining strength, nourishment and vitality rather than treating
Shilajit as something you simply took once and forgot about. The old texts also make an important distinction between raw and purified Shilajit. What
came directly from the mountain wasn’t necessarily ready to use. It had to be cleaned and purified first. Traditional preparation could involve water, filtering, sunlight and time.
This part interested us when choosing our own Shilajit. We didn’t want to turn it into something completely different just because modern processing makes that possible. We kept it as resin.
